Quilt Progress

Finally: news of the quilt. I have cut all the pieces and assembled them into squares. Now there's pressing to be done and squaring-up of squares. Half of the quilt top is sewn and pressed. Just gotta find time to get the rest of the squares sewn together so the top will be complete.

What is it about fabric on carpet that makes a sweet baby kid wanna lay all over it? Funny, he only lays on the finished pieces. More to come.

Adventures in Interfacing

The first little clutch did not have sufficient interfacing and became quite floppy once it had purse goodies in it. Quite disappointing, considering how COOL that fabric is/was/is? Anyway, same pattern, HEAVY interfacing and added boning to the opening makes for a very functional and sexy little clutch. Yum.

I love zippers, and I love zipper bags. In the LYS, I call these notions cases. In the purse, I call these change purses. Versitile? Yes. Fun to make? Yes. Something good to make while procrastinating on a quilt? Yes!

Maybe I should've tried using the flash on these... Or at least opened the blinds. Hmmm...
Progress on the quilt: Have washed and ironed the fabric. No snips, yet. There's always tomorrow. Supposed to rain. No beach for me. Maybe some more zipper bags? Yes.

Don't STARE!

Haven't people ever seen a knitter knitting on the beach before??? Sheesh.
